that's great:D - I was really hoping someone would know it - I have the original postcard if you need a copy sending to print.
Is that or was that the post office[?] looks a lovely village:)

Yes, guessing post bus might have doubled as local service bus?
or someone has posted themselves somewhere as cheaper than a taxi:D

One of my favourites:) other half got it as birthday pressie through the delightful ebay
Mine is from 'The Motor' magazine feb 14th 1962

its not the post office now and honiton town has grown quite a bit since then. i believe the cottage is now a home.:)

actually come to think of it it isnt honiton its Buckerell village and i ring the bells at the church you can see in the background!!!:D:D

That's brilliant Debs, amazing to own a commer pic that has commer owner connections - can't get over co-incidence.[:0][:X]:D

You could possibly park skye up in the same place to take an updated version of photo[?] - if you do, I'd love a copy to keep with postcard:):D:D:D

That would be something special, if you knew someone that knew someone it may be possible to glean some official post office red paint as still in use - or sneak it in to the post office respray department on a friday afternoon saying it is a new prototype!:I Then they'd put all the suitable logos on for you too.:D

aah I see - ;)

Most of us own a PA or PB in one form or another but seeing items like this reminds me of the rich sometimes troubled history of Commer. Are there any of these still out there, I would love to know and to be able to see one in the flesh. The illustrations give the impression that this van was built by a cabinet maker rather than a production line. Just a reminder that not all Commers are campers, I for one would love to see other models be represented in this forum after all we are Commerfans not just camperfans, So if there are other Rootes commercial owners out there please educate us and tell us your story (with pics if possible) we would love to share.
