I m about to do the front brake cylinders , I have them removed so no brakes, I need to move the van in the car park wete I live , small carpark so no speeds needed , my ? Is could i use the handbrake as a brake just so i can move it 20ft ? Hope u all are enjoying the beutiful weather
 
If the shoes and drums are in place then yes but be very careful and test the hand brake often.

No shoes on the front of van , just the old cylinders , if the handbrake works independently I should be ok ?

Actually I think it's the back , anyhow I just left it were it was, I had planned to bring it up beside the outdoor tap , but I the end I just sprayed it down with a spray bottle , the brakes , just got everything loosened , putting new cylinders on tommorrow took me a good while as I couldnt open the 15mm hose bolt , my cheap spanners was just starting to round the bolt , in the end I used a 15mm spanner thingy that I bought for vintage bike pedals worked a treat anyway thank u , hopefully back on the road by the werkend
