brake drum forge

always fancied a small forge, somebody mentioned using a brake drum so I raided the scrap bin, got a wheel, 2 hubs and a drum.... Just need a tool rest and an airbed pump now... And a bag of coke

its all nailed together now. Airline connector on for air supply through a restrictor, just needs testing now

picking up 50kg of coke tomorrow so I can have a play. I'm assuming for £20 its not the class A drug

Decided to make the burn area larger by cutting a bigger drum to sit ontop on the other. This will double the depth and widen it by a few inches.

Oooh. It works! Need to increase airflow though, the compressor couldn't keep up and the electric airbed pump managed... Just.

Went into the local charity shop to buy an old hair dryer but they had a 240v high output airbed pump for a fiver.... Soon see if its man enough :)
