As I am going to try and fight verbally for the original reg number as its classed as an historic vehicle here in Ireland and my argument point would be the reg is pat of its history and part of the van, Anyone know if it can be done , I have it registered here and the new reg is about 6 numbers long ,wouldnt look right on it , the good thing about the original reg is it looks like a vintage Irish country registration

Love that roof:cool:
Not sure if you can keep the original reg. I believe if you import a vehicle to the UK then it has to be re-registered, maybe different in Ireland.
Maybe you could keep it on retention if that's such a thing over there.
