Just had a look and there's a cheaper rate of £22 to Australia available - Royal Mail International Economy

Your van is different to the UK ones, I think, as the front grill style is usually for the (bigger) diesel engines, but it looks like they've done this to allow space for the two big fans you've got for the hotter climate.

I'm sure the drums just slide off - I haven't done this for over 10 years, so my memory isn't good on this, but I don't think anything different. I guess they're just stuck on.

That's a fair bit, isn't it, although at least they're not asking too much for them - some of the stuff on ebay gets a bit ridiculous at times...

Gradually getting some more done - not the best welding, but doing the job (and won't be on show....) and roof at least holding up! Definite improvement in the welds from first to last (think we had the wire speed way too high). Will be getting some galvanised sheet to redo the bodywork - one...

Great looking van! Similar amount of work to what I'm doing.... Going to replace the sheet metal with galvanised on mine, so won't rust. Re: thread - yes, done opposite ways to forward motion to help keep the wheels on - had similar issue trying to change a wheel when away, couldn't understand...

Tiny bit of progress... had to move the van from its current site, so a 40 minute road trip across town to a nice part of Bristol where it has a parking permit - staying undercover to try to not upset those within sight (too much)!

Have you ever used something like Marine 16 diesel bug treatment? I'm trying to avoid taking it off if I can and I think the main problem will be rust in there...

Thanks Colin - will look at taking it off then! - I think the diesel is so old that it predates any bio (!) but guess better safe than sorry.

I'm currently running a marine type tank for my Walk Thru, as it's been sat up for so long (10 years +) - I have posted recently about cleaning out the original tank, but now I'm wondering if would be ok to just drain it completely, refill with new diesel and use again, but adding a Racor type...
